How do we live in Italy?

It has been recently published, by the Italian Association "Sbilanciamoci!", the report titled "How do we live in Italy? - 2008" providing a description of the conditions of development in italian regions. This report presents a series of data and conclusions resulting from parameters different from the conventional ones i.e. GDP. It has been implemented the concept of QUARS (Quality of Regional Development) measuring the quality of local development on the base of indcators such as environment, health, education, equal opportunities, etc.

Surely this is a positive contributions for local administrators and communities to understand the real meaning and value of development policies and their impacts going well beyond the mere measuring of incomes or an economy's material richness.
