A bad weather in Copenhagen

Even if I'm very busy these days, I'm trying to follow the conference in Copenhagen. I must say that I'm not particularly optimist: well maybe I'm definitively pessimist...

I think that there is no real intention by Governments and politicians to take any real serious and adequate initiative to deal with the current environmental crisis. They are still looking for a compromise between economic and environmental needs without suggesting and immediately implementing a development model for mankind capable to act a a real change.

Apart some isolated action from some Scandinavian country and despite the evidence of the current catastrophic situation (which some idiot still denies), the entire issue is not cosnidered seriously yet.

We are still waiting: we are still discussing... At time is running out...

We all perfectly know that politicians, above all the italian ones, are expressions of powerful lobbies and mafias (oil, chemicals, drugs, mass-media, weapons, etc.). We all know that the interests of these groups have a complete priority over any social, health or environmental need. Money always prevails in any political decision...

What can we expect from this kind of people?

As I have already written here, all of us must do our bit: we cannot wait for someone else intervention. We cannot delegate anything to others. We can do a lot through our everyday choices, we must be aware and informed (we must READ, READ, READ)

We must focus our lives on the idea of "take care" and "respect": for the environment, for other people, other cultures, other ideas...

Without respect there is no future...
